Jess Heart and Soul is a nonprofit thrift store that was established to raise awareness for those suffering from Lupus, and other autoimmune diseases, in our community. Jess Heart and Soul has a variety of new and used items at reasonable prices. The proceeds from the donations and resold items are used to create different projects and support groups for people in need in our community.
Our History
Jess Heart and Soul was founded May 10, 2014 in honor of Jessicia Lynne Turner. Jessicia was a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In 2010, Jessicia was diagnosed with Lupus. Through her journey with Lupus Jessicia vowed to continue fighting and helping other individuals that also suffered from autoimmune diseases.
As a licensed practical nurse (LPN), Jessicia had a strong passion for helping others. Her passion for helping those in need touched everyone around her. Jessicia's heart was filled with love and compassion. She battled Lupus with her head held high. Jessicia is an inspiration to all that knew and loved her.
Jessicia passed away, at the age of 29, on February 20, 2017. Jess Heart and Soul continues to spread her message of love and compassion for others by giving back to our community.
"Sometimes people with illnesses have self esteem problems because they are used to seeing the person in the mirror before they got sick, and now they are staring at someone else. You never know that, 'You look nice,' or some other kind comment can make that persons' day. Being kind cost nothing!"

Jess Heart and Soul has come a long way in a short amount of time. A lot of hard work and sleepless nights went into creating a loving atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
